Demand Planner to Kjell & Company
Kjell & Company is Sweden’s leading specialty retailer in consumer electronics, connectivity, and smart home solutions. With 140+ stores across the Nordics and a strong e-commerce presence, we help millions of customers navigate an increasingly connected world.
We are entering a new chapter of strategic development, strengthening our planning capabilities, modernizing our systems, and building a more data‑driven and disciplined supply chain. As part of this journey, we are looking for a Demand Planner to play a key role in securing healthy inventory levels, strong availability, and efficient stock flow across our distribution center and 150 stores.
Assignment
As Demand Planner, you translate category strategies into accurate forecasting, disciplined stock management, and high stock productivity. You take responsibility for making sure products flow efficiently from purchase order to store shelf - protecting availability, working capital, and margin.
You report to our Director of Planning and you will work closely with category management, distribution planning, pricing, and marketing to ensure the right products reach the right locations at the right time.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Manage forecasting, replenishment, and purchase order placement within defined targets.
Follow the full PO lifecycle and ensure goods arrive on time and aligned to demand.
Allocate stock between DC and stores based on demand and sell‑through patterns.
Lead clearance and margin‑protection actions by identifying slow movers early.
Set and adjust pricing and markdowns to secure sell‑through and inventory health.
Monitor store stock performance and coordinate redistribution or recalls when needed.
Deliver weekly sales, stock, and margin reporting with insights and recommended actions.
Your background
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and analytical Demand Planner with strong commercial understanding.
You have:
Relevant academic education in business, supply chain, logistics, economics, or a related field.
Experience in forecasting, replenishment, supply chain planning, or demand planning.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and act on it.
Understanding of stock productivity, sell‑through, and margin drivers — retail experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
To thrive in this role, we believe you are structured, analytical, and proactive. You enjoy working with numbers and processes, take ownership of your decisions, and feel energized by improving stock flows, availability, and capital efficiency. You build strong relationships, collaborate well across teams, and are motivated by contributing to commercial results.
Location
This role is based at our headquarter office in central Malmö.
