As part of this journey, we are looking for a Head of Group Accounting to lead and shape our accounting and reporting processes for the years ahead. This is a key leadership role with significant impact on the company’s financial integrity and compliance.

Assignment

As Head of Group Accounting, you will take full responsibility for Kjell & Company’s group accounting and reporting under IFRS, while ensuring robust statutory accounting for our legal entities under K3. This is a key leadership role where you will drive high-quality financial reporting in a fast-paced, ambitious organization.

You will report to the CFO and lead a team of skilled accounting specialists. The role involves close collaboration with controlling, treasury, tax, and external auditors, and you will be a central figure in our finance organization.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Group Accounting & Consolidation (IFRS): Manage and ensure quality in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, group consolidation, eliminations, foreign currency translation, IFRS interpretations, and disclosures.

• Statutory Reporting (K3): Own accounting principles and annual reports for Swedish legal entities, ensuring compliance with ÅRL and good accounting practice.

• Processes & Internal Control: Develop and document accounting principles, processes, and controls; drive improvements and automation.

• Audit & Regulatory: Act as main contact for external auditors and regulatory matters.

• Leadership: Lead and develop the accounting team, prioritize work, and build competence.

• ERP Development: Actively contribute to upcoming ERP implementation projects.

Your background

We are looking for an experienced and driven accounting leader with strong technical expertise and a proactive mindset.

You have:

• Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• Solid experience in qualified accounting and consolidation, including IFRS in a group environment.

• Documented experience with K3 and Swedish statutory reporting.

• Experience with Aaro for group accounting is a plus.

• Strong system skills, and experience from ERP projects.

• Excellent Swedish and English, written and spoken.

• Proven ability to lead teams and drive change with structure and quality focus.

This role is based at our headquarter office in central Malmö.
